SHARPLY WEST OF THE DRY LINE...LIKELY AS LOW AS 15 TO 20 PERCENT. THIS COULD LEAD TO AT LEAST A FEW HOURS OF EXTREME
WILDFIRE POTENTIAL ALONG AND WEST OF U.S. 75...INCLUDING THE TULSA AREA...DURING THE LATE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.
A SHIFT TO MORE WESTERLY WINDS BEHIND THE DRY LINE WOULD ALSO IMPACT ANY ONGOING FIRE FIGHTING EFFORTS. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... THE PURPOSE OF FIRE WEATHER WATCHES AND RED FLAG WARNINGS ARE TO ALERT
LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCIES OF DEVELOPING WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT...WHEN COMBINED WITH CRITICALLY DRY WILDLAND FUELS...COULD LEAD TO DANGEROUS WILDFIRES. TIMELY AND ACCURATE WATCHES AND WARNINGS ENABLE FIRE FIGHTING AGENCIES TO MANAGE RESOURCES

There is a Slight Risk of Severe Weather for the Tulsa Area on TuesdayThere is a slight risk of severe weather for most of Eastern Oklahoma on Tuesday with a higher risk in SE Oklahoma. A round of showers and thunderstorms is expected Tuesday morning but the most likely time for severe weather in the Tulsa
area will be Tuesday afternoon, especially if the skies clear and dewpoints rise. I expect most of the severe
weather to stay east and southeast of Tulsa but I will continue to monitor the situation. Here is the Severe Storm
Prediction Center's severe weather probabilities map for Tuesday:

Slight Risk of Severe Weather from Tulsa to the EastThere is a slight risk of severe weather from roughly a Miami to Tulsa, to McAlister line this afternoon and evening.
Large hail, damaging winds, and an isolated tornado are possible, mainly after 6:00pm. Here is the latest
Storm Prediction Center severe weather risk graphic: I expect most storms to remain below severe limits and to remain east of the Tulsa area. The rain should clear the area by Saturday morning
with the clouds breaking up and some sun peaking out on by afternoon with temps in the upper 40's to lower 50's and
gusty north winds. The next severe weather threat looks to occur possibly next Tuesday.
Also, note the
new Current Weather Conditions tab on the navigation bar to the left. I've placed several different
current maps on there for your viewing pleasure. Here is a direct link to the page: http://www.tulsagoldenhurricane.com/id11.html
